The placements range from engineering, environmental and design to business management, marketing and IT, and will allow students to either undertake an individual project or fill an existing role within the business.

Calling all Pendle businesses.....

Is your business looking to invest in local home grown skills?

Are you looking to up-skill your workforce?

The Graduate Placement Scheme, funded by Pendle Borough Council, provides Pendle employers the opportunity to recruit local graduates at a subsidised cost.

The graduate will contribute to your business, either by carrying out a specific project or by filling / replacing a role within your business.

Graduates will have a variety of degree backgrounds, skills and experience and the expertise of our team will help you to produce a job description, market your vacancy and produce a shortlist of suitable applicants for you to interview. What's more, a grant subsidy is also available to assist you with the cost of employing a graduate in the first 6 months.

'Shell Step was everything I didn't expect in the best of ways! You get so involved in company life that you completely lose your student label and just become one of the team. It's a fantastic way of getting out of lecture theatres and into the real world and it gives you the chance to really push yourself in new and exciting directions.'
Katie Selby, University of Manchester
